Coldwater Smallmouths

The month of May on the eastern most part of Lake Erie is one of the best
times to catch a trophy smallmouth bass. The pictures speak for themselves.
The four of us did not catch quantity but the quality was most evident.

We started out slow until I switched over to a Jimmy D’s 1/4 oz bear hair jig
fished on a slow retrieve. We boated a total of twenty fish with none under
four pounds and the biggest just over six. It was just a great day! Thanks Jimmy, your jigs are something special.
